Redstone Arsenal hosting domestic violence awareness 5K run on Oct. 22

The event is free and no pre-registration is required.

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — Redstone Arsenal is hosting its 'Run in Their Shoes 5K Run' on Friday, October 22, to raise awareness for domestic violence victims.

Signup will open at 6:30 a.m. at Building 3467 Vincent Drive, the Childwise Building. Opening remarks will be made at 6:45 a.m. and the run will start at 7 a.m.

Organizers say the run will start and end at the Childwise Building and if you aren't a runner, there will also be a 1-mile walk course. The event is free and no pre-registration is required. Participants are asked to wear purple to show their support for the cause.
