HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The removal of Confederate monuments is just one of the issues being brought forward as protests condemning racism and police violence continue across the U.S.
At Wednesday's Madison County Commission meeting, a monument in Courthouse Square is Huntsville is on the agenda.

At Thursday's Huntsville City Council meeting, Huntsville City Council President Devyn Keith will introduce a resolution to support the county in the removal of the monument.
Influential local business groups, including the Huntsville Council of 100 and Downtown Huntsville, Inc. are backing the move.
