Courtney Hudson of Engineered Performance Lab is finalist for Corrective Specialist of the Year award

Out of thousands, Hudson finished in the top 3 of the prestigious award.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville's own Courtney Hudson was a finalist (top 3) for the Corrective Exercise Specialist of the Year award with her business Engineered Performance Lab (EPL). Hudson helps train baseball and softball athletes in corrective therapy, which means she helps enhance the motions that are often overused.

"So what we do is we go in and test to see what is going on where they're tight, where they're loose, where their muscles are strong, where the muscles are weak and then give the corrective exercises based on where they are at right now," Hudson said.

The BioMechanics Method, the highest-rated provider of corrective exercise education for fitness, exercise and health professionals, named Angelito Inocencio as the 2021 Corrective Exercise Specialist of the Year®. This prestigious industry award recognizes an individual who is certified in The BioMechanics Method, currently providing corrective exercise services to clients/patients and has demonstrated exceptional application of their corrective exercise skills.

The award is given to applicants who are certified in The Biomechanics Method. Hudson was unsure how many people were up for the award, but said there are around 9,000 certified trainers in The Biomechanics Method.
