DECATUR, Ala. — UPDATE: Alabama Department of Corrections says Thomas Lashawn Davis was recaptured by law enforcement in Decatur, Georgia, on Friday.
Alabama corrections officials are looking for an escaped inmate from a Decatur facility. Thomas Lashawn Davis, 49, escaped the North Alabama Community Based Facility on Highway 20 West around 7 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections.
Davis is described as a 6'1", 164-pound Black man with brown eyes, was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, and brown work boots.
