Cat adoption events allow people to get free cuddles

Local cat rescue group hosts adoption events around North Alabama. These events allow people to get in some cuddles while finding a forever home for these cats.

ALABAMA, USA — A group called the Feline Fanciers Cat Rescue is hosting their Kitten Cuddles and Adoption events around North Alabama. They are held at local businesses like breweries and athletic clubs.

These adoption events allow people to interact with adorable cats and kittens AND serve a purpose. They help further socialize the rescued and fostered cats all while helping them find their 'furever' homes.

A lot of kittens are available right now but the group rescues cats of all ages.

"We partner with local facilities and breweries and local companies and we host Kitten Cuddles and Adoption events, where we bring in various different kittens and cats of ages that we've rescued for people to come in and enjoy. A lot of our locations have breweries or kitten yoga, things like that, where you can enjoy a drink and lovin' on some of our kittens, there all hands-on, open, free-ranged, whole nine yards," said Adoption Coordinator with Feline Fanciers Cat Rescue, Brittany.

The next Kitten Cuddles and Adoption event is on Sunday, May 23 at Cross-Eyed Owl Brewery located at 105 1st Ave NE, Decatur, AL 35601.

The group said this about the event on Facebook: Kittens, beer, and pizza. What better combination exists? Felines Fanciers Cat Rescue will bring adoptable kitties, Cross-Eyed Owl Brewery brings the craft beer and soda, and you bring the cuddles! Sounds like the purrfect Sunday to us.

As for the pizza, Marco's Pizza in Decatur is generously donating 20% of all purchases placed between 10 am - 10 pm to FFCR. All you have to do is mention FFCR, Feline Fanciers, or Kitten Cuddles when you place your order by phone or on the Fundraising Page for online orders.

The group will also be painting for cause at Pinot's Palette located at 8 Parade Street STE 102, Huntsville, AL 35806  on Monday, June 7.

The group said this about the event on Facebook: Rainbow kitty on a wire. Can it get any better? This easy painting will put a smile on your face every time. A portion of every ticket sold will benefit Feline Fanciers Cat Rescue.
