Two Alabama lawmakers want to a pass a new “Stand Your Ground” bill.
The current law is limited, and Representative Lynn Greer says he wants church security guards to be able to act in any threatening situation. Representative Greer and Senator Arthur Orr say that with church shootings becoming more common, this is an important bill. The new “Stand Your Ground” bill would apply to any place of worship in the state.
They are proposing the bill in this year’s legislative session.
