Huntsville City FC inaugural Beer Cup to showcase over 20 breweries

Some of the breweries featured will be Yellowhammer, Straight to Ale, and Back Forty Brewing Company.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Huntsville City FC's inaugural Beer Cup kicks off at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium on Saturday, June 1, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Over 20 breweries, including Straight to Ale, Yellowhammer Brewing, and Back Forty Brewing Company, will be there. This event is the first of three beverage-themed festivals happening at The Joe this year, followed by the Wine Cup on July 13 and the Spirits Cup on Oct. 12.

Stephen Hardiman from Back Forty Beer Company shared, "For the Beer Cup, we're going to be bringing out our core Imperial Stout, which is called Soot, and we're going to showcase two special versions of it."

We also spoke with Matt Cooper from Straight to Ale on some of the beer they will have on hand for the Beer Cup. Cooper shared, "We're going to be featuring our Turbo Generator. It's a doppelbock classic German style. If you're familiarize yourself, you've had Yuengling before. This is like an upgrade in taste."

Tickets are available for purchase, with general admission granting access to beer tastings, pop-up shops, music, and art. VIP tickets offer an extra hour of private beer tasting and access to the exclusive West Terrace with a cash bar.
