Huntsville City FC announces head coaching change

During former head coach Jack Collison's tenure, Huntsville City FC played 32 games, securing 9 wins, 14 losses, and 9 draws.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Today, Huntsville City Football Club announced a change in its coaching staff. Jack Collison, the head coach, has departed from the position, and Assistant Coach Christophe Berra has been appointed as the interim head coach for the remainder of the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season.

The club expressed its gratitude to Collison for his contributions to the team's development and wished him success in his future endeavors. Collison, who took up the role of the club's inaugural head coach on January 18, 2023, brought experience from his playing days in the English Premier League and coaching roles, including a notable stint with Atlanta United FC 2. During his tenure with Huntsville City FC in MLS NEXT Pro, Collison led the team through 32 games, securing 9 wins, 14 losses, and 9 draws.

Replacing Collison, Christophe Berra steps into the role of interim Head Coach. Berra has a professional career with over 560 appearances in Scotland's and England's Premier Leagues, with 41 caps for Scotland's National Team. He last coached in 2022, most recently serving as a first-team coach for Livingston FC in the Scottish Premiership.

Berra's debut as interim Head Coach for Huntsville City FC is scheduled for Saturday, April 13 at 7 p.m., as the club hosts Crown Legacy FC at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium.
