Updated at 7:20PM: Huntsville police confirm the identity of the body found as Jim Cappello, and his wife, 32 year old Marjorie Capello, is being charged with murder.
Updated 6:52PM: Huntsville police are investigating a death after discovering a body in a home on Lauderdale Road late Saturday afternoon. The identity is not being confirmed at this time.
It started as a missing person case on Thursday night after authorities received a report that 37 year old Jim Cappello was missing.
The home of Cappello, located at 8013 Lauderdale Road, is also home where the body was found.
Police say they went to Cappello’s home on Friday to talk to family members after Capello was initially reported missing. They returned to the home on Saturday after receiving more information, and when they arrived, the wife of Cappello reportedly refused to let them search the home. Cappello’s wife is being questioned.
Authorities confirm that a search warrant was executed around 4:00pm Saturday. The body was discovered at that time.
