On Newsfeed Now for March 7, our discussion began with details about a shocking fentanyl find in Arkansas. In a search made Wednesday after a traffic stop, deputies found the drug wrapped in a dollar bill within arm’s reach of a 1-year-old. KARK’s Stephanie Sharp joined our conversation and shared information on the powerful drug.

The ongoing Alabama tornado recovery was our next topic at 5:10 into the show. We checked the tally from Wednesday’s online telethon that brought in more than $30,000 in donations and then WKRG’s Hillary Simon was live in Lee County showing us the destruction of a family’s home and their miraculous survival.

At 10:15 we went to Kansas for the story of a deputy sidelined by the loss of his leg who’s eager to get back on the job. Since his insurance won’t pay for the computerized prosthetic he needs, the community is banding together to raise money for it so he can return to the force. KSN’s Michelle Ross was with us live.

And we rounded out the show with some fun to honor National Cereal Day at 14:15. We polled our studio crew about  their favorites and stopped by Twitter to see the chatter about Lucky Charms, Captain Crunch, and the rest of the bunch.
