The group Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America made its way to the Rocket City on Sunday.

The organization is made up of over 4,000 volunteers with fifty active chapters across the country.

It was the group’s first trip to Huntsville and member Harriette Huggins says it’s the group’s largest event yet in the state of Alabama with over 200 registered attendees and 500 total people saying they are interested.

“I think what has happened in the last couple of weeks with Parkland is that people are really getting on board saying that we have got to do something, and we have a way that they can put that into action,” she says.

You don’t have to be a mom to become a member of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. Anyone who shares the same beliefs can join.
