DAYTON, Ohio — Fresh off their triumphant victory at the Winter Guard International (WGI) Regional Competition in Atlanta just last month, Sparkman High School's Indoor Drumline took their talent to the global stage this past weekend in Dayton, Ohio.

Sparkman's drumline captured the audience and judges at the University of Dayton Arena with a stellar performance. Their remarkable season culminated in a score of 94.338 in the Scholastic World Division, securing them a well-deserved fifth place in the WGI World Championships.

With a rich legacy that boasts two previous world championships in 2016 and 2019, the Sparkman Indoor Drumline continues to etch its name in the annals of indoor percussion history. Notably, Sparkman's Indoor Drumline stands as the sole representative from Alabama to achieve the prestigious designation of Scholastic World Class.
