MADISON COUNTY, ALABAMA, Ala. — The 41st Annual Youth Fishing Rodeo is set for this weekend! Madison County Commission will be hosting the event at Sharon Johnston Park in New Market on Saturday, May 4. This promises a day of fun and fishing for kids aged 5-15.

No registration fee is required, and all necessary bait and tackle will be provided during registration. Kids just need to bring their own fishing poles or rods. Contributions from local businesses and organizations ensure that participants have everything they need, including door prizes and a shot at winning grand prizes.

Registration starts at 7:30 a.m., with fishing kicking off at 8:30 a.m. and running until 11:30 a.m. in the freshly stocked lake at Sharon Johnston Park. Door prize drawings will be held throughout the event, with grand prizes awarded for the biggest catches based on weight.
