Local non-profit helping small businesses impacted by COVID-19

Neighborhood Concepts, Inc. is offering emergency loans to North Alabama businesses impacted by the coronavirus.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala — The non-profit Neighborhood Concepts, Inc. is offering emergency loans to North Alabama businesses impacted by COVID-19.

Businesses can apply for up to $25,000 to fund operating expenses. Those applying must be in business for at least a year to qualify.

They say it'll be structured as a non-revolving line of credit at a fixed rate of 5%.

Neighborhood Concepts, Inc. Executive Director, Mary Ellen Judah, said, "That's to buy supplies. That's to pay salaries. That's to pay rent for any businesses that can demonstrate that they have been impacted by COVID-19."

NCI is working on an electronic application available on its website. For now, applicants can e-mail jthornton@neighborhoodconcepts.org or call (256) 534-0075 Ext. 404.
