Lexus and Salvation Army teaming up to provide free food to those in need

The Salvation Army and the Lexus of Huntsville are offering free grocery boxes for Madison County Alabama area families.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Each grocery box will contain enough non-perishable items, such as boxes of cereal and canned goods, to feed a family of four for a week. 

Boxes will be packed and assembled by The Salvation Army in accordance with safety guidelines from federal health officials. Grocery boxes will be placed in the car of each eligible family by Lexus of Huntsville staff. 

This drive-up service will be available through coordination with The Salvation Army of Huntsville on a first-come, first-served basis.

Families interested in getting on the list to receive a grocery box should register here or call the office at 256-536-5576. 

This will be happening this Friday, May 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m, or until supplies are gone. The address is 6580 University Dr NW.
