A "Zumbathon" benefiting the non-profit organization Beauty and the Beast Fund of Jackson County is being held on October 24 during Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The fund helps to provide assistance to breast cancer patients in Jackson County that are in need of treatment.

The event costs $10 to attend and will go from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Scottsboro Parks and Recreation Gym. According to organizers, social distancing will be practiced at the event.

"Zumba, refreshments, door prizes and FUN! Can't dance? You'll fit right in! Want to come and not dance, that's okay too! Represent the ones we lost, the ones who are battling, those who WON, and those yet to come. Let's find a cure folks," the event's Facebook page reads.

According to organizers, 100% of the proceeds will go towards the fund.
