Mayor Tommy Battle hints at new music festival

In his State of the City address, Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle hinted that a new music festival may be coming to the Rocket City.

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle shared his State of the City address Tuesday. The Mayor's comments focused on the state of the city of Huntsville and how the city is aiming to continuously move to the beat of it own drum.  "You know, we talk about the beat of the drums or the tempo of the city, you know, in our tempos up, but our tempo is one that  is moving ahead and we're looking at new things, we're looking at new ideas, we're looking in the cyber world, we're looking in the AI world, we're looking in the Advanced Manufacturing world," Mayor Battle explained.

Another thing he spoke about? The potential for a new music festival at John Hunt Park.

More details are expected in October if the City Council gets a contract for approval from C3 Presents.
