HUNTSVILLE, Ala. —

The U.S. Small Business Administration is offering low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to Alabama small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), SBA Administrator Jovita Carranza announced Saturday.

In a press release from the U.S. Small Business Administration, the SBA says this comes after the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act that was recently signed by President Trump, to declare a disaster following a request received from Gov. Kay Ivey on March 17th, 2020.

The disaster declaration makes SBA assistance available in the entire state of Alabama. In Tennessee, the loans are available to small business owners in Franklin, Giles, Hardin, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marion and Wayne counties.
