The Etowah County Detention Center will be getting some national airtime after the new year.

A&E will be featuring the facility in its new season of “60 Days In.” This season is being called one of the most dangerous seasons yet. The premise of the show is to lock up several undercover volunteers so they can help uncover corruption and contraband.

According to the show, after two decades, the Etowah County Detention Center in Alabama is under new management and the newly elected Sheriff is determined to make a change. In his first week, he decided to shakedown the facility and in one day alone, found more than 200 broken door locks, drugs and removed more than two tons of contraband.
