Back in 1969 Buzz Aldrin made history when he stepped foot on the moon, but Friday night, 50 years later, he walked onto the field of Nationals Park to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Game 3 of the World Series.
The 89-year-old saluted the crowd before taking his place on the mound. He took one “giant leap” towards home plate and blastoff!
His throw meant Houston didn’t have a problem as the Astros won 4-1.
