Community groups come together to honor workers at Huntsville VA Clinic

Retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major Willene Orr said 225 staff members were honored at the clinic on Wednesday.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Community organizations came together on Wednesday, May 12, to honor workers at the Huntsville VA Clinic for their work during the pandemic.

Retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major Willene Orr said 225 staff members were honored at the clinic on Wednesday. Guest speaker Civilian Aid to the Secretary of the Army For North Alabama Dr. Joe Fitzgerald spoke to staff and community members for nearly an hour.

Orr said the following groups made the event possible:

Project No Strings Outreach from Santa Ana, California

Local Sergeants Major Association

All Nations Great House Ministry in Madison, Alabama

Crumbl Cookie in Madison, Alabama

Vujee Vegan in Madison, Alabama

The event was held on staff appreciation day for the Huntsville VA Outpatient Clinic.
