Morgan County's coronavirus status dropped down to the low risk category today. Decatur Mayor Tab Bowling said it's a result of the number of positive cases continuing to fall.
Morgan County is now seeing a less than 5% weekly increase in the number of cases.
Decatur Morgan Hospital Chief Nursing Officer Anita Walden said she hopes everyone continues to follow the guidelines so we can continue to see the numbers go down.
"Please, please wash your hands and social distance. Please if you care about anyone else, wear a mask," said Walden.
As of Monday, 13% of people who get tested for the coronavirus in Morgan County are testing positive.
