Kids to Love campus expansion breaks ground

The new campus will feature a trauma therapy, foster parent training, workforce development, and an Emergency Assistance warehouse.

MADISON, Ala. — Today, the Fite Building Company crews started site preparation for the new Kids to Love campus expansion. Spanning 17,000 square feet, the new space aims to provide services to children and families, trauma therapy, foster parent training, workforce development, and an emergency assistance warehouse. Located near the Kids to Love Center at 140 Castle Drive, the expansion is another milestone in the organization's commitment to serving the community.

Lee Marshall. founder and CEO, says, "Our state of the art facility will be a safe place for our kids and families to come and heal. To get that therapeutic help, they need to heal from trauma."

Madison mayor Paul Finley is grateful for the work Kids to Love does. "So to everybody who's been involved with this and will continue to be involved with this, thank you for everything that you're doing because our community continues to benefit from it."

Among the notable features of the expansion is the Smith Family Wellness Center, named in memory of Mark C. Smith, which will house the Grant Hill Trauma Team. Some other features of the new campus include the Isenberg Center for Education and Innovation to provide workforce training. This space will also host KTECH graduations, foster parent training sessions, organizational events, and conferences. Additionally, the Curtis Cares Center will expand the existing warehouse space to provide essential items for children in foster care.
