Decatur City Schools up to $4,000 in losses due to high crime rate

A high rate of crime now has Decatur City Schools up to $4,000 in losses.

DECATUR, Ala. — On Saturday, April 16th around 10 a.m. two catalytic converters were stolen off school system vehicles parked in a fenced area of their maintenance shop located off Central Parkway in Decatur. 

This now makes more than $4,000 in expenses to the school system involving thefts in the last 2 weeks. They have filed police reports on all of these crimes.

You'll notice in the photo the suspect's tattoo can be seen on his arm.

If anyone has information, they are asked to call Decatur Police.
