A winter storm is impacting people across the Midwest, bringing dangerously cold temperatures and heavy snow.

Arctic air dipping into the region is expected to set records in the central U.S. over the next couple of days.

It’s prompted thousands of schools to call of classes and entire cities to basically shut down.

We’re taking a closer look at the conditions across the area in a special digital newscast Wednesday morning.  Meteorologists and reporters from Bismarck, North Dakota, to Grand Rapids, Michigan, will share how the winter weather is affecting their communities.

Join us for Midwest Arctic Blast at 9 a.m. Tuesday.  Watch in the player below.
