Lady Bulldogs fall to North Florida, 73-64 (Highlights)


HUNTSVILLE — Janesha Green recorded a double-double as North Florida rallied past Alabama A&M 73-64 Wednesday afternoon in the Bulldogs’ home-opener.

Green led North Florida (3-2) with 21 points and 10 rebounds.

Alabama A&M (1-3) built a double-figure lead early and took a 32-31 cushion into halftime, but North Florida surged back in the second half.

North Florida outscored Alabama A&M 22-13 in the third period, and the Osprey never trailed down the stretch.

DeShawna Harper paced Alabama A&M with 25 points, draining four 3-pointers. Nigeria Jones added 16 points.

North Florida beat Alabama A&M on the boards, recording 45 rebounds to the Bulldogs’ 28. The Osprey also were 26 of 38 from the foul line.

Jazz Bond finished with 15 points for North Florida, while Adrienne Jackson scored 11 points with 10 rebounds. Dasha Eremeeva added 10 points with six rebounds.
