WZDX participates in Global Rocket Launch

WZDX participated in the Global Rocket Launch to honor the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11.

Our team became rocketeers for the day. We built and launched a rocket that soared 2,000 feet into the air.

Our two week day anchors, Conner Board and Mike Black counted down to the blast off. The only casualty was the parachute, which floated away from the rocket that landed not far from where we launched.

Watch 5,000 rockets take off at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center here.
