Road conditions are open for the most part throughout state, but caution is urged if you must travel.

Madison County Sheriff’s Lt Donnie Shaw says the secondary roads are still ice and snow covered. Once you get to the main thoroughfares the roads become passable with some spots that appear slick. The best advise is to remain off roadways but if travel is a “must” to use extreme caution.

Decatur Police report:  As of right now and, we anticipate for most of the day, roadways will remain icy.

The Beltline remains extremely hazardous to drive this morning.

The Hudson Memorial Bridge has been treated and is passable.

We ask that people stay off the roads today unless absolutely necessary.
