What you need to know for Flag Day

Today is Flag Day. It's important to honor the flag rules

The flag never needs to touch the ground. You need to have lighting on the flag if left up overnight. To properly fold it... fold it in half twice, then do triangular folds and tuck the last piece in. The full list can be found here

"It's so important to honor the flag, because the flag is so symbolic meaning the red stripes stands for
the valor, bloodshed and those who fought for our country. The white is for purity and the blue is for the justice that we believe in here in America," says Marine Sgt. Timothy Russell.

Flag Day honors a June 14, 1777, resolution from the Second Continental Congress, which called for an official United States flag.
