Two people are in jail on felony aggravated child abuse charges after the death of a 3-year-old in Huntsville on Tuesday.
The 3-year-old boy was found unresponsive in his home and taken to Huntsville Hospital Women’s and Children’s, where he was pronounced dead shortly after noon. An autopsy is being performed this week.
The second child at the residence on Maple Ridge Blvd., a four-year-old boy, is in critical but stable condition, according to Huntsville police. Neither child had obvious signs of trauma or visible injuries on the scene and police are still considering this a “Death Investigation”.
Frederick Antony Frink, 34, and Ashley Elizabeth Catron, 36, were both charged with two counts of Aggravated Child Abuse based on probable cause from the investigation and are being held in the Madison County Jail without bond.
Huntsville police continue to investigate and WZDX will update this story as more information becomes available.
