The Primary Election is Tuesday, March 3, 2020 (Primary Runoff Election will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2020 if necessary) and the General Election is Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
We want to make sure you have all of the information possible to get you in and out of the voting polls easily!
First and foremost, make sure you are REGISTERED TO VOTE. You may register online, have a form mailed to your address or download a mail-able PDF of a voter registration form. All of those can be found here as well as place for you to update your voter information.
Make sure you know where your poll is to vote. Polling place locations can be found here. All you have to do is select your county where you are registered to vote, enter in your last name and your birth date.
Review the ballots for the primary and general elections before entering the poll beforehand. A sample of the primary election ballot can be found here. Just select which county you are registered to vote in as well as if you are voting democratic or republican.
If you’re planning to vote absentee, you can find absentee voting information here. An absentee ballot returned by mail must be postmarked no later than the day prior to the election and received by the Absentee Election Manager no later than noon on election day. If hand-delivered, the ballot must be in the office of the Absentee Election Manager by the close of business (but no later than 5 p.m.) on the day prior to the election.
Valid forms of ID in order to vote can be found here. A few examples include a Valid Alabama Driver’s License (not expired or has been expired for less than 60 days), a Valid Alabama Photo Voter ID Card and a Valid US Passport.
