By now you may have seen the video of a homeless woman in California whose beautiful singing voice brought her viral fame.
But you may not have seen the moment she met the cop who took the video that made her famous. The LAPD officer shared video on Twitter of the woman nicknamed the “Subway Soprano.”
Emily Zamourka is a classically trained musician who immigrated from Russia. An injury and a twist of fate left her unable to perform and she became homeless.
The video led to a GoFundMe campaign for Zamourka that’s already raised about $60,000.
