AAA predicts 48 million people will be hitting the roads during the July 4th holiday.

ALEA is teaming up with local law enforcement and Mothers Against Drunk Driving to warn people of the danger of driving under the influence. State troopers say during this holiday timeframe last year, drunk driving deaths accounted for 39 percent of all deaths on U.S. roads.

Law enforcement is also asking people to avoid being distracted behind the wheel.
