For the first time in nearly a decade, the number of uninsured Americans has gone up.
According to the Census Bureau, some 27 and a half million people were uninsured last year. That’s an increase of 1.9 million people.
It’s the first time it has gone up in the U.S. since 2009. The impact comes as fewer people are being covered by medicaid.
The report also found more children were uninsured in 2018.
