A new program should help inmates with mental challenges get help.
Limestone County commissioners approved the so-called Stepping Up Program. This means inmates with mental illnesses in the Limestone County Jail can get help from counselors at Mental Health Center of North Central Alabama.
Limestone is the 16th county in Alabama to participate.
