Madison County Schools needs more school bus drivers.
The school system transports over 10,000 students to school and home every day, and right now, there aren’t enough school bus drivers. Because of the shortage, some drivers are running their routes and then heading back to a different school to pick up students and take them home.
They say this has caused some students in the Riverton area and at Buckhorn to get home later than normal.
Madison County Schools is hiring ten additional bus drivers right now. Bus training is underway right now, so it’s the perfect time to apply.
