HOMEWOOD, Ala. – The longest standing Fire Chief in Alabama was laid to rest Wednesday.
Homewood Fire Chief John Bresnan was found unconscious in his fire department office on Friday, Jan. 10, and he was not able to be revived. Chief Bresnan began his service with the Homewood Fire and Rescue Service over 30 years ago and has been chief since 1992.
Funeral services were Wednesday afternoon at Homewood Church of Christ.
