Kids at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School were greeted with some special gifts on Monday.
Representatives of the Historic Huntsville Foundation presented the students with “Color Me, Huntsville” books. The sketches, which were created by artists Carole Foret, Christina Green, and Christina Wegman, include local historic spots and information about them.
The book’s profiles were written by Donna Castellano.
Castellano says this initiative has been built up over the past two months and they plan to give these books out to other schools in Huntsville and Madison County.
