Deer Rescue

OH DEER! When Brett Bofenkamp saw this deer fall into a storm drain, he knew he needed help to get it out. Fortunately, Officer J. Bartlett from Huntsville Police Department HPD and Patric Brown from Animal Control quickly responded and were not only able to get the deer out of the drain, but also to reunite it with its mother, who was nearby. The rescue was caught on camera by the wife of a Huntsville Utilities employee. It’s a great example of Huntsville citizens, police, and animal control officers working together to save the day for a four-legged family, and we thank all of them for jumping in to give this story a happy ending.
