Education officials got some extra spending money this year, thanks to the amount of state tax collections they received last year.
The Advancement and Technology Fund had more than $270 million for schools to use statewide. Nearly $200 million was put toward K-12 schools.
Money was spent in six different areas. Over a third of the expenses went toward maintenance. The least amount was used on classroom supplies.
