UPDATE: Domestic violence suspect wanted in Decatur arrested

UPDATE: Gerald Lamar Matthews, wanted by Decatur Police on domestic violence and burglary warrants, has been arrested.

According to Decatur Police, Matthews was located by the Decatur Police Department’s Vice Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals, on November 20, 2019.

Matthews was taken to the Morgan County Jail and held on a total of $80,000 bond.


The Decatur Police Department needs your help to find Gerald Lamar Matthews, wanted in connection to several domestic violence felonies.

According to DPD, Matthews is known to frequent the areas of southeast and northwest Decatur, particularly in the East Acres community. He is 5’5″, 170lbs, 33 years old.
