A college in Alaska came up with a “nutty” idea for people with unpaid parking tickets – pay them off by donating peanut butter and jelly!
The “Food for Fines” program is part of a food drive going on this week at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Tickets issued recently can be settled by donating jars of peanut butter and jelly/jam. The more students donate, the more credit they get toward the unpaid fines.
