The public is invited to attend a presentation and a Q&A session on Friday, August 23, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. that will discuss the findings of a music audit done on Huntsville. The session will be held in the Von Braun Center’s Concert Hall.

Immediately following the presentation, Sound Diplomacy, who conducted the audit, will host a music strategy “Launch Celebration” at The Camp from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The music audit was commissioned by the City of Huntsville in April 2018 to provide the City with a strategic guide to develop a competitive music ecosystem, examined municipal codes, ordinances, zoning, communication and overall business practices to provide recommendations for growing the musical segment of Huntsville’s economy.

“To attract and retain the best and brightest workforce, Huntsville needs a dynamic music and cultural scene,” said Shane Davis, Director of Urban Development. “This is more than an amenity – it’s part of our BIG Picture planning, economic and workforce development.”
