BREAKING: Argument between truckers leads to shooting

According to Sheriff Wally Olson, the fuel truck driver tased the log truck driver, at which point the log truck driver fired his gun and shot the other man twice in the neck.

He then waited for authorities inside the convenience store. The investigation is still ongoing.

The log truck driver has been taken in for questioning, but no formal arrest has been made. It may wind up as self-defense. Our Mike Gurspan is on-scene gathering more information.

As for the fuel truck driver, he reportedly suffered two. 22 caliber handgun shots to the neck.


DALE COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — A man has been shot following an argument with a fellow trucker.

The incident took place at the Finnway Service Plaza on Highway 167 located outside Clayhatchee in Dale County.

The argument reportedly began over a parking space between a log trucker and fuel truck driver. The log truck driver then pulled out a handgun and shot the other man. He has been transported to Southeast Health for medical care.
