Every single Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy will now have a life-saving device on their belt, thanks to an anonymous donation.
The anonymous Morgan County business donated $2,800 to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Volunteers so they could purchase tactical tourniquets. This donation allowed all deputies in the Sheriff’s office to receive one of these tourniquets.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the light-weight, windless tourniquets can be applied quickly with one hand, with minimal training, and with maximum success. These tourniquets are designed for stopping or slowing blood loss from large wounds or arteries.
