The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announces a recall for more than 53,000 school buses.
According to the NTSB, the recall involves 2014 to 2020 Thomas-Built bus models, equipped with seats that may not provide sufficient impact absorption in the event of a crash.
Daimler Trucks North America is in the process of contacting owners. The NTSB says dealers will install more impact material between the back and vinyl padding of the seat.
