The Salvation Army behind on Red Kettle donations

The Salvation Army is out in Huntsville again raising money with their Red Kettles. It’s their main fundraiser for the whole year and right now, they’re behind.

The Salvation Army Corps Officer, Captain Chris Bryant, said,”Right now, we are crying out for help. The weather has really impacted our kettles. It’s rained every weekend since Thanksgiving, and weekends are our biggest times.”

Every donation benefits people in our local community. Even dropping in spare change can make a difference.

“Everything helps. You know, any little bit adds up. If we get a bunch of people in town to just donate quarters, that really adds up, and it makes a huge impact in our community,” said Captain Bryant.

You can come see the WZDX team at Walmart on Drake Avenue Tuesday, December 18. We will be there collecting donations from 10:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.

If you don’t have time to get to a Red Kettle, you can donate on the Salvation Army website. The online donations will still benefit the Huntsville community.
