A 16-year-old cyber genius is interning with the State of Alabama and he’s getting the opportunity of a life time.
He’s 16 years old, a high school graduate and he’s interning during his sophomore year of college with state cyber security experts.
His name is Talmage Kelley.
He has a plan for his life to be a contractor for the state and federal government, but right now he’s interning with Alabama’s Office of Information Technology.
Kelley is working in what’s referred to as the SOC (Security Operations Center) which is overseen by Ryan Allen.
Allen was a little concerned about Kelley’s youth, but not says he’s done a spectacular job.
Kelley maybe the youngest intern but he’s not the only one. He’s joined by other future cyber security experts.
The department uses the internship a recruitment tool in hopes the students will come back and work for the state.
