Updated Sunday (6/23) at 2:51PM:

George Patterson Jr. is the suspect authorities in Limestone County arrested following a hit and run and high speed chase Saturday afternoon.

Authorities in Limestone County say they were called about a black truck spotted driving recklessly. The vehicle was reportedly running though yards and nearly hitting people at an outdoor church function on 7 Mile Post Road. According to Limestone County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Stephen Young, a deputy got behind him but lost sight of him at speeds over 100 miles per hour.

The driver of the truck was spotted again at Highway 31 and 72, and the chase continued. Young says the suspect swerved and sideswiped a deputy vehicle near the West End Chevron. Spike sticks were deployed near Glaze Road. Young says the suspect drove through a field and then crashed.
