Salvation Army begins back to school drive


The Salvation Army is collecting school supplies for its Back -to-School drive. The supplies will be donated to students at Madison County Schools. 

Supplies needed include: 

book bags (no wheels, please)
scientific calculator (Texas Instruments or ACT)
flash drive 2 GB
writing paper (2nd grade Zaner-Bloser)
1st grade handwriting paper
construction paper
copy paper (white and colors)
card stock (white and colors)
yellow #2 pencils
ticonderoga pencils pk of 24/my first ticonderoga
mechanical pencils
primary pencils
colored pencils
black sharpies
pencil sharpeners
pencil erasers (cap and large rubber)
clear pencil boxes
School box
pencil bags (zippered) 3-holed to fit in binder
art supply storage/boxes
pens, red
rulers cm/inch
graph paper
scissors (pointed and blunt tipped)
wide ruled notebook paper
one & five subject spiral notebook wide ruled
plastic pocket folders with brads (yellow, blue, red)
3-ring binders (various thicknesses)
3-hole notebook paperwide ruled
3 ring trapper keeper notebook
composition notebooks
3×5 index cards
fine point markers
sheet protectors
play dough

Donations can be delivered to the Salvation Army office at 2114 Oakwood Avenue or directly to the school of your choice. With classes beginning the first week of August, the Salvation Army is asking that all donations be turned in no later than July 25th.
